Remembrance Service

Posted on

The ministers from the Crosshills & District Fellowship of Churches met recently to plan the annual Remembrance Services which normally take place in Sutton Park.  In light of the current pandemic we have decided that in order to ensure the safety of all involved, we will not be holding public services in the park this year but will be offering two alternatives:

Online pre-recorded event

A pre-recorded service from the war memorial in Sutton Park will be streamed on the CDFC YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCi_sjj17YZSPkT3gzHyryIg.  This recording will include a simple service attended earlier in the week by just two church ministers as well as images of the laying of wreaths by different organisations which will have taken place earlier in November (see below).  The recording will be available from 10:45am Sunday 8th November.

Live telephone dial in service

On Sunday 8th November at 10:45am a live Remembrance Service will be held via telephone dial in.  This will be conducted by the Rev Brian Greenfield and will include the 2 minutes silence at 11am.  If you would like to access this Service and receive an order of service please contact Rev Greenfield (the dial in service only requires a telephone and uses a local rate 03 number).
