North Yorkshire Council is inviting people to take part in the annual budget consultation, ‘Let’s Talk Money’.

 The council delivers a wide range of local services, including social care, education, housing, leisure, roads and waste collection and like many councils across the country faces increasing demand for services and rising costs.

The ‘Let's Talk Money’ survey asks what services and priorities are most important to you and how you think the council’s budget should be spent.

Residents are also being invited to tell the council what level of council tax increase feels right and give feedback on the second homes premium introduced in 2025.

 The survey is open until 26 November 2026. Feedback received will help inform future budget decisions and council priorities.

The Mayor's Local Transport Plan, which will help shape transport and investment priorities across York and North Yorkshire up to 2050.

The Consultation, managed by the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority, covers a wide range of issues including road maintenance, bus services, rail connectivity, road safety, accessibility and transport links for rural communities.

This consultation is an opportunity for local people to share their experiences and help influence future decisions.
