  2. NYC Public Rights of Way served an Emergency Closure Order on Lumb Clough Bridge, off Hall Drive on the 22nd December 2023 following a storm which resulted in a tree falling and completely obliterating the bridge.

The landowner was contacted and requested to move the fallen tree before any works could be undertaken.

Following the trees removal, works were carried out to remove the old bridge parts, measure, fund, design, obtain quotes from contractors etc and then build new bridge.

The Parish Council would like to thank Cllr. Philip Barrett who put forward a contribution from his Locality Budget in order to progress forward the installation of the new bridge.

Thank you to North Yorkshire Council's Public Rights of Way team.
